  • Our research told us that for Canadians a passion for hockey is all encompassing. It is the great equalizer – it is diverse, inclusive and brings together communities across the country.
  • The sense of a hockey community is experienced both in the arena and out of it. Hockey unites us as a community and as a country – CIBC being a part of each community could be a catalyst for this.
  • In an effort to authentically connect CIBC to the CHL communities we created a unique campaign “For the Love of the Fans”. This campaign connected with fans both in and out of arena by expressing that CIBC understands your community and is dedicated to your town, your local Canadian players, your passion and your fandom. We’re more than just a logo on the rink board, we’re in the stands right beside you, we are the sponsor because we are fans too.
  • We began in arena by owning assets – from rink boards, to video boards to a CIBC owned “Fan Bank” experience where fans were surprised by a Fan Ambassador. All activations were lead by CIBC local banking centre staff, really creating a deep connection with each banking centre, arena, and community.
  • 23 Branded Zones activated across the Canada
  • 3 marquee events activated
  • Effectively integrated banking centre staff into community through activation
  • 200,000 + engagements through 2017 – 2018 season
